The Niklosmaart at the Place de Paris is located in the heart of the Gare district and features 12 wooden chalets selling handmade crafts, gifts, food and drinks.
There is also a carousel for the kids, and live music and entertainment for the whole family.
The highlight of the Niklosmaart is the giant Christmas tree that stands proudly in the middle of the square. This impressive tree is 22 metres high and decorated with 285,000 LED lights and can be seen from far away. It is also a symbol of solidarity and friendship, as it was donated by the city of Metz in France, which has a long-standing partnership with Luxembourg City. The tree was inaugurated on 25 November by the mayors of both cities, and will remain lit until 7 January.
