A Residence with a View
Maison Streckeisen is one of the University of Luxembourg’s student residences, located at 72, Boulevard de la Pétrusse. Just a short walk from the city centre, it offers students a peaceful place to live while staying close to everything Luxembourg has to offer. The building overlooks the Pétrusse Valley, giving it a scenic and central location.
Living Spaces Designed for Students
The residence includes 12 furnished single rooms, each with a bed, desk, wardrobe and shelves. Students share four kitchens, four living rooms and four bathrooms, making it a friendly and social place to live. Internet is provided via Ethernet, and there are laundry facilities on site. It’s a simple but well-equipped space that meets the needs of students from all over the world.
A Touch of History
While the exact construction date of Maison Streckeisen is not widely known, the building stands out with its traditional Luxembourgish architecture. With its stone façade, tall windows and classic roofline, it reflects the style of early 20th-century townhouses found in the Gare district. The building has been adapted for student use, but it still keeps its original charm.
Part of a Bigger Network
Maison Streckeisen is just one of many residences offered by the University of Luxembourg. These homes are spread across the city and nearby areas, helping students find affordable and comfortable places to live. The university’s housing service, SEVE, manages the allocation of rooms and ensures that students have access to shared spaces and support.
