Luxair’s special liveries are chosen through a creative initiative called #FlyingIsAnArt. This program invites artists from Luxembourg and the Greater Region to submit their designs for the airline’s planes. The competition is held periodically, and the winning designs are selected by a panel of Luxair staff members, professional artists, and art experts.
For instance, to celebrate its 60th anniversary, Luxair launched a call to artists to design a special livery. The winning design, created by Luxembourgish artist Marco Weiten, features the iconic Luxembourg symbol, the Roude Léiw (Red Lion), rising like a phoenix. This design symbolises rebirth, tradition, and the promising future of Luxair.

Luxair operates a fleet of 21 aircraft, making it one of the youngest and most modern fleets in Europe. The fleet includes:
