The Towers of Kirchberg
Adjacent to the Infinity Building stand two striking towers, formerly leased by the European Parliament. About five years ago, the Parliament returned the lease to the Luxembourgish state, and the buildings have since taken on new roles within the European institutional landscape.
The tower near the Philharmonie now houses a ministry, while the other serves as the seat of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office. Although these structures remain key features of Luxembourg’s skyline, the European Parliament’s offices have relocated entirely to the newly built Adenauer Building, which is fully owned by the Parliament. Meanwhile, the towers themselves are owned by Luxembourg, marking a shift in their purpose and role within the district.
