Castricum aan Zee, not only one of the best surfing beaches in the Netherlands, but also a popular hippie destination in the 1960s and 1970s. This seaside resort has a long sandy beach, a nature reserve, and a camping site. It was also part of the Hippie Trail, an overland route that connected Europe and Asia in those days.
