Kitesurfing on the Dutch Coast: A Stormy Adventure
Kitesurfing is a challenging and fun sport. The Dutch coasts are great for it, especially in summer. Castricum aan Zee is one of the best spots. It has a wide and sandy beach and a nature reserve.
This photo was taken at CAZ on a stormy afternoon in August. It shows the effort and exhilaration of kitesurfing. He controls the kite with a bar and four lines. He uses his body weight and the wind to move and jump.
Kitesurfing combines surfing, windsurfing, paragliding and gymnastics.
