It is never boring to see this so typical panorama of Budapest. The recently renovated Chain Bridge is in its full glory again.
The Chain Bridge was the first permanent stone bridge connecting the two sides of the city, Buda and Pest, in 1849.
It was designed by an English engineer and built by a Scottish engineer, both named Clark.
The bridge has two stone lions guarding its ends, but they have no tongues. Don’t worry, they are not defective, their tongues are just hidden from view.
In the background, the Ferris Wheel or Budapest Eye is an attractive spot for tourists in all seasons. It offers a spectacular view of the city from 65 meters high.
